One Dead, 60 Hurt As Alton Towers Bus Overturns

One man died, two people were seriously injured and 60 more hurt when a double decker bus returning from the Alton Towers theme park in Staffordshire plunged down a steep embankment last night. One woman, described as in a critical condition, was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham and another patient was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital North Staffordshire in Stoke- on-Trent.

Walking into Longbridge's massive assembly plant is an eerie experience. Huge assembly lines that produced hundreds of thousands of cars a year stand silent and still.

Bodies of Air Victims Taken From Crash Site

The bodies of four people killed in a mid-air crash over Warwickshire were removed from the wreckage last night. Carried in a white private ambulance, all four Cessna 402 crew members were taken from the crash site in Brinklow to the University Hospital in Walsgrave.

Two pieces of broken plane and a scattering of debris is all that remains of the light aircraft involved in the Warwickshire air crash.
