A B de Villiers, who scored 61, and Herschelle Gibbs, who has scored 54 not out, helped South Africa reach 169 for two after the second day of the second Test against Australia in Melbourne as the tourists made a decent start in reply to Australia's first innings score of 355, a total largely built around a brilliant century by Michael Hussey.
