Airport's Profits Boosted by Passenger Confidence

Annual profits have climbed more than 26 per cent for Birmingham International Airport - reflecting returning confidence in air travel.

The airport's annual report shows that profit after tax for the year to March 31 rose by 26.3 per cent to pounds 19.9 million, while turnover increased 8.2 per cent to pounds 109.6 million. Birmingham International said it experienced 'progressive passenger growth' with an 11.5 per cent year-on-year increase, to a total of 9.2 million.
