Alcohol-Related Deaths Rise by 10pc in the West Midlands

Summary


Alcohol-related deaths have risen by ten per cent in the West Midlands since 2000, according to a new report published yesterday.

The report, for the Chief Medical Officer, released by the Association of Public Health Observatories, showed booze was linked to 6.05 per cent of deaths among men, and 4.17 per cent of women in the region in 2005.
