Midlanders it seems are undecided in their home buying strategy. Around half are buying property as a short-term investment, intending to live there for just three years and move on, while the remainder intend to stay in one property for ten years or more. The figures come from a survey conducted by YouGov, which highlights the differences in homebuyers across Britain, and shows that when it comes to the property market, the Midlands is nothing, if not interesting. With 46 per cent wanting to move on as soon as possible and 42 per cent wanting to plant roots and stay put the vote was firmly split down the middle. The remainder had no preference.
