Ian Westwood has been named the Warwickshire vice-captain for the 2008 season, writes George Dobell.
The 25-year-old opening batsman, a feature of the championship side in the last couple of seasons, was one of the few players to progress in 2007 and is a popular and intelligent young man who has graduated through the club's youth system. He is not, however, nearly so established in the limited-overs side. He has yet to score a half-century for Warwickshire in any such match and, should captain Darren Maddy be injured, the club may find themselves with an awkward selection decision.See the full content of this document
