Finally! The tides of the pop charts today are shifting. In early 2000, the charts were overwhelmed by manufactured 15 year old artists that were groomed from early childhood for one reason and one reason only ... to be unleashed upon an ever increasingly demanding teenage market, ready to drain the their parents' wallets for the latest marketing gimmick.

One such component of this change has been the meteoric rise to fame of a middle-class ex-army Brit James Blunt, who's triple platinum album Back to Bedlam, knocked the brilliant Coldplay XY&Z off number one on the album chart, and whose single You're beautiful, occupied number one on the singles charts for more weeks than I care to remember.
