Burglars who targeted the house of Cheltenham vicar the Rev John Morgan might have imagined they would get little resistance from a man of the cloth.

If so, they were wrong. Mr Morgan, a former student rugby player, fought the good fight and managed to land a few hefty blows, sending his two assailants scurrying away empty handed.
