Blunkett Calls for More Input On Citizenship ; Education Matters

Too few teachers are being trained to conduct the classes in citizenship which are now mandatory in British secondary schools, former Education Secretary David Blunkett warned.

He called on Schools Secretary Ed Balls to give a Minister in his Department for Children, Schools and Families specific responsibility for ensuring the success of the new subject.
