Bmw's Hams Hall Engine Plant Sees Output Up 70pc ; Automotive

BMW's pounds 400 million engine plant at Hams Hall in north Warwickshire powered to a 70 per cent increase in production last year, thanks in part to the success of the new second generation Minis that the German group builds at Oxford.

The factory, which began production in January 2001, built a total of 367,000 engines in 2007, BMW announced yesterday.
