One can be forgiven for approaching yet another book about Winston Churchill with the suspicion that it could not possibly contain anything new. But fresh anecdotes abound in these fascinating pages.
Thompson, the Scotland Yard detective who was Churchill's personal bodyguard from 1921, and throughout the Second World War, is one of the conflict's greatest heroes. He was rewarded with a medal but should have got a knighthood.See the full content of this document
