Summary


Anthony Giardina's White Guys starts very well with Timmy O'Kane recounting his life growing up in the early 70s in Winship, Massachusetts, one of a tight-knit group of five friends.

There are some vivid, compelling passages depicting his early rites-of-passage experiences, particularly his involvement with Maureen, a training manager at the bank where his father also works - and who succeeds in breaking Timmy's final "levels of male virginity".
