Fears of further attacks after the 7/7 London bombings was so great that Buckingham Palace, Parliament and New Scotland Yard were all completely locked down at one point, an inquest heard yesterday.
Peter Clarke, head of the Metropolitan Police's anti-terrorist command at the time, confirmed that no-one was allowed to leave any of the landmark buildings for an hour-and-a-half on July 12 2005.See the full content of this document
