The top of the Coca-Cola Championship table makes beautiful reading for West Midlands football fans. Sitting joint-top are Wolverhampton Wanderers and Birmingham City and if the season finished with those two great old clubs still in the top two, I am sure we would all be happy.

Their lofty positions and unbeaten records may not be a surprise to many, certainly with regards to Blues who were the bookies' favourites before the season kicked off and whether they can maintain their promotion challenges remains to be seen.
