Holidaymakers heading abroad must plan their travel money carefully to avoid being hit by the weak sterling, says Andrew Hagger at Moneynet.co.uk.

For instance, they should take a prepaid travel card, (including FairFX Currency Card, Caxton FX Global Card, Post Office Travel Money Card and Travelex Cash Passport) for a better exchange rate, and also to avoid the 2.75 per cent foreign loading fee on ATM withdrawals.
