I have to admit that I frequently feel that the education world has gone entirely mad, but the piece (Post September 25) on the forthcoming report into cheating in exams, compiled by Professor Jean Underwood, of Nottingham, Trent University, left me speechless with disbelief.
There is, so the Professor tells us, a fear that children are cheating in exams by taking into the exam room mobile phones, hand- held organisers and MP3 players and using them to access information to help them cheat their way to a pass grade.
