A Birmingham school has reversed a controversial decision to ban parents and competitive activities from its sports day.

Last July, Maney Hill Primary School in Sutton Coldfield shunned traditional sports such as egg and spoon races in favour of activity- based events to spare less sporty pupils from being 'humiliated'.
