The protest by some pupils of Berryhill High School in Stoke, airing their grievances in public, disappointed me greatly, not because I think that children should be seen and not heard, but because I thought they had let slip by a great opportunity.
For 15-year-olds to be immature enough to waste time complaining about school uniform and a ban on body piercings and wearing jewellery in school was juvenile and silly and served only to detract from the really important issue raised in the protest of the prevalence of supply teachers in their school.See the full content of this document
