A rousing extravaganza of musical pomp and circumstance is set to stir the city as the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra announces an outstanding Summer The City Cafe - offering a three course meal with a glass of champagne for two people to dine before or after the concert Prom performance on July 7 to raise funds for Birmingham Foundation, the Saltley based charity that funds hundreds of inner city grass-roots community projects each year.

Principally sponsored by international engineering consultancy Hyder Consulting (UK) Ltd based in Aston, the rich and inspiring classical repertoire will be held at Symphony Hall in Birmingham. Traditional colourful musical scores such as Jerusalem, Dambusters March, Pomp and Circumstance and Barwick Green - the theme from The Archers - head the list of classical favourites of this incredibly special event.
