Summary
UK construction orders in the 12 months to June rose by eight per cent compared with the previous 12 months, and orders in the second quarter rose by six per cent compared to the same period a year earlier, new figures from the DTI showed yesterday.
It said that private housing orders in the 12 months to June fell by two per cent compared to those in the previous 12 months. Orders in the second quarter 2006 rose by eight per cent compared with the previous quarter, but fell by seven per cent compared with the same period a year earlier.See the full content of this document
