New Zealand had their widest-margin victory but captain Stephen Fleming was relieved not elated after a 210run rout of United States at the Oval.

Nathan Astle's unbeaten 145, his 14th one-day international century, headed contrasting half-centuries by Scott Styris (75 in 78 balls) and Craig McMillan (64 not out in 27 with seven sixes) in stands of 166 and 136 with Astle for a competition-record 347 for four. Three wickets in five balls by Jacob Oram, who took five for 36, undermined the minnows in a reply of 137 all out.
