Bradley Wiggins is on course for a hat-trick of gold medals at the track World Championships in Palma, Majorca, after winning the team pursuit title to go with his success in the individual pursuit.

There was also gold for Chris Hoy in the keirin as the British medal tally reached four golds, two silvers and a bronze at the halfway stage of the four-day programme.
