The last surviving coal mine in Warwickshire is to invest pounds 20 million in state-of-the-art machinery to improve production levels over the next 15 years.
Daw Mill, near Nuneaton, will benefit from a new steel hydraulic roof support built by the Worcester-based mining engineering group Joy.
