Iain Dowie will have learned at least one lesson from Coventry City's last game before they kick off their Coca-Cola Championship season on Saturday.

Quite why City chose Serie A side Udinese to round off their pre- season campaign is, however, something of a mystery. The visitors were not a big-enough name to draw a revenue-generating crowd and neither do they play the sort of football that Coventry will experience in the Championship.
