Drink-Driver's Five Years in Institution

Summary


A 17-year-old motorist who lost control of his car and mounted a pavement killing a 16-year-old girl was sentenced to five years in a young offenders' institution yesterday.

Paul Coe, of Hainford, Norfolk, was twice the legal drink-drive limit and travelling at up to 80mph in a 30mph residential area when he ploughed into pedestrians, killing student Lisa Jermy, Norwich Crown Court heard.
