Everyone can whistle the theme tune and remember the hilarious moment when Terry falls out of the deck chair in the opening credits, and it is perhaps these memories that have left some believing Terry and June was the bastion of all sitcoms.

It's true this classic cult comedy had the majority of households laughing in their front rooms in the 80s, but there is something about Terry and June which fails to generate the same enthusiasm today.
