Education Matters: Disabled Benefit From Pounds 5m Scheme

Summary


Nearly pounds 5 million is to be spent on improving disability access in Birmingham schools.

About 50 schools in the city will benefit from the cash earmarked by the Government to adapt toilets, install handrails, ramps and other measures over the next three years. The move is designed to ensure more youngsters with disabilities and special educational needs can be taught in mainstream settings.
