Summary


Fees in excess of pounds 228 a term to teach children how to play musical instruments in Worcester have been condemned by a county councillor.

The cost of tuition provided by the authority's subsidised music service is among the highest in the country. Despite receiving Government funding of pounds 600,000 a year, it is higher than what parents would pay if they employed private tutors.
