Shares in the UK's second biggest pubs group, Enterprise Inns, soared 30 per cent yesterday after Revenue officials rubberstamped plans to take on tax-efficient real estate investment trusts status.

Shares in the Solihull-based group jumped 115.25p to 510p - the highest since last December - on the news, which came just before the close of trading.
