Dear Editor, Some readers will have read your Councils in Crisis feature (Monday, October 12) and concluded that Staffordshire County Council is one of those authorities facing a crisis of meltdown proportions.

I must assure everyone that we are not. We are facing, like all authorities across the country, a very big challenge.
