Fertility Campaign: Treatment All Comes Down to a Question of Funding

Last year, up to 600 patients were treated for fertility problems by specialist staff at Birmingham Women's Hospital - but only 120 (20 per cent) received NHS funding.

Dr Sue Avery, director of its Assisted Conception Unit, said she believed more state funding was required to meet the growing demand for the treatment.
