I have never understood this talk of romance in the FA Cup. I always thought romance was taking a shapely woman out to an over- priced restaurant for a candle-lit dinner.
The FA Cup third round is all about blood, guts, mud, meat pies, watered-down beer, money, nervous football, victory and defeat. Maybe the supporters of Kidderminster Harriers will disagree but romance is not the right word. Intrigue is a better alternative.See the full content of this document
