Summary
Birmingham International Airport handled 570,179 passengers in February - an underlying fall of 1.8 per cent on the comparable period last year - according to the latest figures.
Although there was an overall reduction of 5.4 per cent in the number of scheduled passengers during February, growth was achieved on scheduled services to the Indian sub-continent, which saw an increase of 2.4 per cent and on domestic routes, whichgrew overall by 1.8 per cent. Other scheduled routes which saw a rise in traffic over the month were Prague (up 160.5 per cent), Milan (up 49.1per cent), Amsterdam (up 27.3 per cent), Tashkent (up 37.8 per cent), Rome (up 8.4 per cent), Larnaca (up 17.6 per cent), Munich (up 38.1 per cent), and Bratislava (up 32.5 per cent), due to new launches and increased frequencies.See the full content of this document
