Flood Warnings On Three Rivers ; Masterplan

Summary


Flood warnings were issued on three Midland rivers after levels rose following 24 hours of persistent rain yesterday.

The River Avon, River Leam and River Severn were all issued with alerts by the Environment Agency, indicating businesses and homes could be under threat. Flood defences were raised at Upton upon Severn, in Worcestershire, as levels topped 4.4 metres by lunchtime.
