Did you listen to BBC Radio 4's Law in Action towards the end of last month? It was good to have a national radio programme on the future of legal services based in Birmingham and reporting on the Birmingham legal community. Birmingham Law Society has a national voice as well as a strong regional one and we will need to make full use of this over the coming months.
Publicly funded work is now under serious threat and with it the many poor and vulnerable in our region who will no longer have access to justice if the new legal aid bill becomes law.See the full content of this document
