Warwickshire have endured many worse results than this draw against Kent, but rarely can a day's cricket at Edgbaston have proved so depressing to home supporters.
Kent racked up full bonus points with such ease that it was reminiscent of a county against a university side. Rob Key (268 balls, 25 fours) can never have scored a less demanding century and his side narrowed the gap on Warwickshire by six points.
