Dear Editor, As the Labour Group on Birmingham City Council continues to experience a collective bout of amnesia when remembering the policy stances it takes, it is in the spirit of helpfulness that I remind Coun Jan Drinkwater that Labour group leader Sir Albert Bore supported the decision taken by Birmingham City Council to support the NEC casino project.
Moreover, Coun Drinkwater's swipe at council leader Mike Whitby is somewhat puzzling. Sensibily, this Conservative-led administration continues to adopt a dual approach to running the city, ensuring that an equal focus is placed on improving services such as housing and education, as well as making sure that the right conditions exist for regeneration to flourish - the streamlining of the planning application process being just one example.See the full content of this document
