Great Britain's rocky start to the Olympic qualifying tournament was totally forgotten as they beat New Zealand 3-2 to secure fifth place overall in Madrid.

With an Athens berth already secured for both teams the pressure was off and, as a result, coach Jason Lee took the opportunity to rest Reading goalkeeper Simon Mason's injured knee and give Jimi Lewis his first start of the competition.
