Paul Holleran paid tribute to long-serving club captain Richard Brown as a "tremendous ambassador" after ending a seven-year career at Rushall Olympic.

Brown has joined Midland Alliance side Shifnal Town after the Pics' enforced switch to the UniBond Division One South. With the defender based in Shrewsbury, travelling in the new league would have become increasingly diffcult and he has opted to join Shifnal, who are managed by former Rushall team-mate Darren Goodall.
