Summary
Chaenomeles (Ornamental quince, japonica) This wonderful, easy- to-grow deciduous shrub produces beautiful, big flowers from March to May. It is ideal grown against a wall or as a hedge and its spring flowers are followed by golden fruits in the autumn.
The most common type, C. speciosa, grows up to 6ft high left unpruned. Popular cultivars include C. Speciosa 'Nivalis', an early bloomer producing white flowers with gold centres, 'Moerloosei', which has white flowers flushed dark pink, or 'Simonii', which has semi-double blood red blooms.See the full content of this document
