Profits on continuing operations at demerged household repair services group Homeserve soared by more than a third last year.

The success of the ten-yearold Walsall-based company, which split from water supplier South Staffordshire in April, translates into compound growth of 54 per cent a year over the past five years, chief executive Richard Harpin said yesterday Homeserve presented its first set of annual results since spinning South Staffs off into a quoted company in its own right.
