High street bank HSBC yesterday bowed to pressure and announced it was putting on hold plans to scrap interest-free overdrafts for graduates.
The move comes after the National Union of Students organised a virtual protest on the Facebook website calling on students and graduates to boycott the bank, which attracted backing from nearly 5,000 people. But HSBC said it was not "too big" to listen to its customers.See the full content of this document
