Interserve, the services, maintenance and building group, yesterday said trading had been "very strong" throughout 2007.

The firm said in its Facilities Management division it had made good progress through a combination of growth from both new and existing clients, a turnaround in industrial operations and the full- year impact of integration benefits arising from the Worcester- based MacLellan acquisition in 2006.
