Disturbing developments on the Ryder Cup front. The nudge-nudge merchants are telling us that Bernhard Langer doesn't want to be captain of our side at the K Club next year.
Langer wants to play and while that is not, in itself, bad news the loss of his leadership is. He has been a conspicuous member of the European side for 24 years; played in every match until he took command last year and has contributed significantly.
