Commercial property landlords have been warned that the Government could be looking for a high profile scalp to scare others into speeding-up improved disabled access to buildings.

The new Disability Discrimination Act, which comes in today, requires owners or occupiers of all buildings where a service is provided to the public to ensure that people with disabilities have reasonable access to the same services as the able bodied.
