A Birmingham family law specialist is welcoming Government moves to help to ensure that separating parents get equal rights of access to their children, and applauds its decision not to submit to pressure to make equal care mandatory.
The campaign group, Fathers4Justice, is calling for a presumption that care should be split equally between mothers and fathers to be enshrined in law, but, Carla MacLeod, a solicitoradvocate in Needham & James' family law unit, says that such arrangements could result in children being treated as negotiable assets, and would be unworkable in practice.See the full content of this document
