The Chancellor missed an opportunity in last week's pre-Budget report to halt the rush towards polluting diesel vehicles by introducing tax incentives for hybrid cars, UHY Hacker Young, the Birmingham accountancy firm, has insisted.
The Chancellor reduced duty on biofuels but with so few biofueled vehicles on the road this was a measure which will not have any short or medium term benefit for the environment, nor act as sufficient incentive for drivers to switch to such vehicles, it claimed.See the full content of this document
