Summary


Growth in lending to Ireland's private sector slowed further in February to its weakest level in over four years, with mortgage growth hitting a fresh 14-year low as the property market cooled.

Overall private sector credit growth slowed to an annual rate of 15.6 per cent last month from a revised 16.6 per cent in January and was the weakest rate of expansion since September 2003, data from the Central Bank of Ireland showed yesterday.
