Summary
Dear Editor, - Some years ago a young girl of my acquaintance posted a letter in a pillar box but whilst doing so a ring from her finger went into the box by accident.
She waited by the box for some hours for the postman to collect the letters but he was very reluctant to let her have her ring as he said all the contents of the box had to be taken to the sorting office. Eventually he relented and gave her back her ring.See the full content of this document
