Letter: Carol, I'd Be Proud to Help If You Need Me

Summary

Dear Editor, Following Carol Vorderman's appeal for individuals to be nominated for the Pride of Britain Awards on August 1, I would like to say I have tried to improve my neighbourhood as a campaigner and a very caring person. I have always contributed to charities for most of my life and if there is anybody that recognises my achievements, please feel free to put my name forward for consideration.

Alternatively, having seen the photograph of Carol in The Birmingham Post dated July 17, if she reads this letter, I am that sort of person that I would not be offended if I was not selected as I know there are far better deserving people than I. But if she requires any help from a caring person as host of the Pride of BritainAwards, I would be more than pleased to volunteer and I can't say fairer than that.
